A new eagle takes a journey to celebrate the teacher
WASHINGTON – The US Post service celebrates 250 years of continuous and reliable delivery of the American people.
Before the invention of telegraph, phones and televisions, the postal service was created and developed to serve the nation over decades of technological, cultural and economic changes. With the organization's anniversary approaching, USPS honors its past with a focus on delivering now to the future.
“The founders of our great nation have seen the fundamental need for postal services as the United States was born – even before the country has formed itself. Since that time, the global postal system has strengthened friendship, family and society links,” said the director of the American Post Office Doug Toleino. “The postal service remains a wonderful organization linking our nation and helps to run our economy. We are proud to help set the theater for the 250th anniversary of the United States next year, and we look forward to continuing to serve the American public for another 250 years.”
The Bald Eagle has been offered to the official USPs seal since 1970, when the postal reorganization law was signed to become a law. The eagle includes everything represented by USPS and embraces the symbol chosen by the founders of the nation to represent the power of America and freedom. This symbolism was implemented in the creation of the “Sonic Eagle” post logo in 1993 and was now developed in honor of the 250th anniversary.
The new Eagle In Flight in cooperation with the turner duckworth was created to display the iconic and unique role of linking the nation through the past, present and future. The eagle face in aviation honors the roots of postal service while amplifying the idea of surrender to the future through the wings. As the journey is taken, its wings appear confidence and purpose, while vibrant colors exuded a spirit to celebrate. The eagle is not replaced by the Sonic Eagle logo, but it will be used to help celebrate during the year 2025.
In addition to revealing the eagle in the aviation code, USPs will commemorate this historic landmark with many exciting events and publications throughout the year, including:
Souvenir stamps licensed coffee table book; The anniversary of the 250th anniversary of “The United Stats Postal Service: A Americans History”, available online and printed; Various brand goods. A special episode of the series “Mail With Mr. Zip” YouTube will focus on the 250th anniversary; Private advertising campaigns using the topic “Delivery since 1775”; Social media, podcasts and blog jobs to celebrate the teacher; And other exciting events that must be announced as the anniversary approaches.
