The United States is seeking to review Mexico for alleged workers' rights in hundreds of Mexico, SDC.

Washington-The Office of the United Stats Trade Representative has invoked the Rapid Response Labor Mechanism (RRM) in the United Stats-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) to Review What Workers at amphenol Optimize México, SA De Cv (amphenol), Located in the Cities of Nogales and Hermosillo in Sonora, Mexico, Are Being Denied the Right to Freedom of Assocality and Collection Bargaining. The United States has stopped liquidation of unsuccessful entries of the commodity from the Amephenol facility, which manufactures conductors, antennas, cable associations, contestants and other products for a variety of final markets, including car and space sectors.

On April 11, 2025, ILC received a petition from RRM from the Secretary -General of Sendicato Industroal, a Mexican labor union. The petition claims that the Axinol has violated the rights of workers by forcing workers, using threats and harassment, to vote for their favorite results in the federation’s vote; Those frustrated workers from joining an independent union; It took revenge against workers due to their union preferences, including through separation. ILC reviews the RRM petitions, and accompanying information within 30 days.

After conducting this review, ILC decided that there is sufficient and reliable evidence to reject rights, allowing the implementation mechanisms. As a result, the representative of trade in the United States submitted a request to Mexico that Mexico is reviewing whether workers in the Veneols were deprived of the right to freedom in the association and collective negotiation. Mexico has 10 days to agree to a review, and if it agrees, 45 days of the day to complete the review.
