As part of the ongoing security assistance increase announced by President Biden on September 26, the United States is providing another important package of much-needed weapons and equipment to our Ukrainian partners as they defend against Russia's war of aggression.
The value of this additional assistance, provided as part of previous withdrawals from Department of Defense stocks, is estimated at $500 million. They include: AIM-7, RIM-7, and AIM-9M air defense missiles; air-to-ground munitions; Support equipment for F-16 aircraft; armored bridge systems; secure communications equipment; Small arms and ammunition; Spare parts, auxiliary equipment, services, training and transportation.
The United States and more than 50 countries stand united to ensure that Ukraine has the capabilities it needs to defend itself against Russian aggression.
