As part of the increased security assistance announced by President Biden on September 26, the United States is providing another large package of urgently needed weapons and equipment to our Ukrainian partners as they defend against ongoing Russian attacks.
The value of this additional assistance, provided as part of previous withdrawals from Department of Defense stocks, is estimated at $500 million. They include: counter-unmanned aerial systems (c-UAS) munitions; High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) munitions; 155 mm and 105 mm artillery ammunition; High-speed anti-radiation missiles (HARMs); unmanned aerial systems (UAS); Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs); High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs); light tactical vehicles; Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) protection equipment; Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems; Tube-launched, optically guided, tracked-by-wire (TOW) missiles; small arms ammunition; grenades and training equipment; Demolition equipment and ammunition; As well as spare parts, auxiliary equipment, services, training and transportation.
The United States and more than 50 countries stand united to ensure that Ukraine has the capabilities it needs to defend itself against Russian aggression.
