Chicago will hold a free online conference for small companies on Thursday, during the time when government resources are flowing due to the federal restructuring.
“Small companies are the backbone of our economy, as they lead innovation, create job opportunities and contribute to the personality of Chicago societies,” said Ivan Capifali, Commissioner of the Ministry of Business at Chicago and Consumer Protection, which organizes this event.
Capifali said in a statement via email that the Chicago Small Business Show “will provide current and future business owners knowledge of the resources available to them at the local level, such as accessing capital and network opportunities.”
The conference, which lasts from 9 am to 12:30 pm, includes an online symposium on the resources of local and state government and the federal government of small companies. It will include speakers from the small source of business in Cook Province, the Ministry of Trade and Economic Opportunity for Illinois and the American Small Business Administration.
Another web symposium will discuss the financing of small business in the local community, including grants and loans with low interest and microlone. Members of the committee include neighborhood business development centers such as the Allies for Community Business and the Women's Business Development Center and the result.
It will give Brenda Palms, CEO of North Lawndale, the main address. Palms is also the founder of Sweet Beginnss, which provides jobs for previously imprisoned people. The company runs bee farms in the Chicago area, including in North Loindll, at Ohair Airport, the Shomburg campus at the University of Roosevelt and the Cook County County County Museum, according to its website.

The event will be held after the small business administration announced on Friday that it will reduce its operating power by 43 %, or about 2700 jobs, as part of the reorganization. The Federal Agency was established in 1953 to provide resources to small companies.
Earlier this month, SBA said it would move its regional office from Chicago and five other cities to reserve as a punishment for not compliance with the immigration and customs efforts in the United States to detain migrants. However, the agency has not announced the transfer of its largest office in the Illinois area, which shares the same area of the regional axis that oversees six states.
The Ministry of Business and Consumer Protection in Chicago holds a small commercial conference and several personal exhibitions every year.
“This exhibition is necessary to prepare all the participants, including immigrant entrepreneurs, with the knowledge and resources needed to succeed in the business scene today,” Mario Hernandez, Director of Public Affairs at Western Union, said in a press statement.
“Immigrant entrepreneurs are a vital part of our local economy, and we are aware of the unique challenges they face, including linguistic barriers and understanding of the organizational scene. Thus, BAC provides the assistance of licensing and educational resources in multiple languages,” said Capevali.
The attendees can register at Chicago.gov/bizexpo.
