Federal authorities believe a Jordanian immigrant arrested while trying to enter the United States across its northern border is a terrorist, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement clearance operations in Seattle.

The agency said in a press release on Wednesday that Muhammad Hassan Abdel Latif Al-Banna (41 years old) was arrested near the northern border of the city of Linden, Washington. It is not clear when or where he infiltrated the country.

The US immigration official described Albana as a “known or suspected terrorist,” the agency said.

Albana was returned to Jordan on November 15 after immigration procedures, according to the agency.

During the Biden administration, Border Patrol agents intercepted 300 migrants whose names appeared on a terrorism watch list crossing the country's northern and southern borders, according to Customs and Border Patrol data.

“Under the Biden-Harris administration, of the more than 250 illegal aliens on the terrorist watch list that Border Patrol encountered on the southwest border between fiscal years 2021 and 2023, the Department of Homeland Security released at least 99 of them into U.S. communities, with At least 34 of them.” The report by Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, a copy of which was first obtained by Fox News Digital, says others are in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security but have not yet been removed from the United States.

The interim staff report also found that immigration judges granted bail to at least 27 migrants on a watch list who entered illegally, and that Border Patrol encountered tens of thousands of migrants from countries that could pose national security risks — including 2,134 Afghan nationals. And 33,347 Chinese. Two citizens, 541 Iranian citizens, 520 Syrian citizens, and 3,104 Uzbek citizens.
