McAelster, Okla – Colonel Gabi Briur, commander of the McAelster McCalastir Melody Factory, worked as a guest speaker at the annual lunch in the armed forces in McAelster to celebrate the 250th army birthday.
The tradition of the Armed Forces began as an effort to combine the days of celebrating the army and the Marine and Marine Corps and the Air Force on a unified day. While the official celebration is usually held on Saturday in May, the McALESter extends the celebration during the weekend with events that include a lunch and control via the city center.
Every year, the celebration of the Armed Forces Day focuses on a different branch of the army, with the issue of this year to honor the army in appreciation of the 250th anniversary.
