Jussie Smollett agreed to make a $ 50,000 charitable donation to settle a legal dispute with Chicago.
The lawsuit arose from Smolit's allegations that he was a victim of hate crime in 2019 and was transferred to Instagram with a lengthy statement to reveal the reason for his decision to stabilize.
He wrote: “More than six years ago, after reporting that I have jumped, city officials in Chicago began to persuade the public that I deliberately put an attack on myself. This wrong novel left a stigma on my personality that will not be disappeared soon. These officials wanted to tell my money and wanted to inherit from the difficulty of anything that did not see them. An opportunity to make a charitable donation in exchange for rejecting the case.
“Despite what happened there politically, Chicago has been my home more than 5 years ago and people became my family. Therefore, donation in favor of Chicago societies that are often neglected by those in power will always be something I support. I am comfortable because there will be at least one winner of this experience.
“Although I was discharged by the Illinois Supreme Court in a unanimous decision and the civil case will now be rejected, I realize that everyone’s opinion will not change my opinion or the attack I faced. However, despite the arduous and expensive attempts to punish me, I build in the eyes of God and our criminal justice system. What I have to do now forward.
“I will continue to create a technician, I fight enthusiastically for reasons, my dear and defend my integrity and the name of my family in fact.”
The former actor “Empire” Jossi was sentenced to 150 days in March 2022 after being convicted of lying about being a victim of racist and gay attacks and a false report to the police, but his condemnation was canceled by the Supreme Court in Illinois after his legal team resumes in September.
Smollett's lawyers claimed that the actor's rights had violated after the Prosecutor decided to re -re -re -re -rearcese it.
Smollett has always maintained his innocence, and insisted on “there was no trick” and that it was a target of hate crime.
