East Garfield Park, Chicago Crime: Marisol Vasquez charged with murder in death of 1-year-old on North Springfield Street

CHICAGO (WLS) — A Chicago woman has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 1-year-old girl on the city's West Side, police said.

Police said 37-year-old Marisol Vasquez was responsible for the little girl's death on December 20 in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on North Springfield Street.

Vasquez was arrested on Thursday. She is charged with first-degree murder.

Police did not immediately provide further information.
