CHICAGO (WLS) — Presidential candidate Donald Trump is expected to arrive in Chicago on Tuesday.

The former president was invited to be a guest speaker at a conversation moderated by Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait.
The event is hosted by the Economic Club of Chicago and Bloomberg News.
VP Kamala Harris was also invited to attend the event. Trump was the only one to confirm his attendance.
The one-hour program will begin at 11 a.m. The club will broadcast the conversation live on YouTube.
On Monday, vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance was also in the Chicago area for a special fundraising event.

Governor JB Pritzker issued the following statement regarding Trump's visit:
“Every time he opens his mouth, Donald Trump reminds us that he is a racist, a misogynist, and a 34-time convicted felon who doesn't care about anyone but himself. On a recent visit to Chicago, he hurled insults at Kamala Harris, and there's no doubt about it.” We'll hear that again today as he tries to promote his economic plans that would raise costs to American families by $4,000, increase inflation, and eliminate jobs, but a majority of Americans reject those policies and other disastrous and dangerous Project 2025 proposals. A second Trump administration will plague this country in November 5th, voters will make that abundantly clear when we oust Donald Trump and his extremist party.
