Some Western commentators argue that the United States was a good superpower.
This may be true for a small group of Western countries, most of which have benefited from American domination. But many global south were a victim of American military, economic and political interventions.
Hegemony loss?
The West can be in the midst of losing its dominant position in the global order. This may be inevitable, but it may not be the tragedy that some Western commentators assume this.
In most of the world, there is a desire for a more fair global system that does not offer ethical, ethnic and cultural standards of the Western regime. The world in which the American and Western power is limited and cannot only end until it is more peaceful, but over time, more prosperous.
Without the cooperation of the allies who are alienated by Trump, it may be difficult for the United States to start conflict all over the world as was the case often since the end of the Cold War.
In a recent article for Foreign Affairs, the American political scientist Stassi Godard is arguing that the emerging world is multiple, in the first place great power-primarily the United States, Russia and China-the world divides the “areas of influence”.

Russia can cause a problem within countries with large Russian minorities, but its ability to display force is limited, as is evident from the war of grinding in Ukraine.

China may frighten its competitors in the South China Sea, Cinako and Taiwan Islands, but it does not easily resort to military power. China has not resorted to military force since its war with Vietnam in 1979.

Europe is reviewing its trade war with China. “The West, as we knew, is no longer present,” said Ursula von der Lin, head of the European Commission.
Western countries will undoubtedly continue to try to practice unpopular global influence. Canada has suggested that “similar countries in thinking” constitutes an alliance to promote trade and international institutions that are still dominated by Western interests. This idea seems to be designed to continue marginalizing the global south in the international decision -making process.
Most of the global southern states are not highly performance liberal democracies. Many struggle with the legacy of colonialism while managing an international system dominated by the West, which keeps them subject. Others have created governments that fit their own circumstances, cultures and development levels.
But many weaker countries generally share commitment to international law that seems stronger than the West. They need a stable, predictable and somewhat applied group of global rules than the strongest countries. Ironically, the US decline may facilitate the internationally -based international system.

However, relieving the American grip on global power is a primary first step towards achieving a more clear international system.
To put this process in the movement, the world may be a debtor to Trump Shuk.
