This comes after Rife tweeted on his X account on Wednesday that he would have to reschedule his sold-out shows in Indiana due to a “last minute medical emergency.”
The tweet read: “I've been doing 40+ shows a month for a year and a half and have never had to do something like this. I'm so sorry. I hope you understand and I love you so much.”
The “Matt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour” shows were supposed to take place at the Indiana University Auditorium. The venue also confirmed the cancellations.
The comedian later posted a follow-up to his original tweet, saying “refunds are being issued.”
Rife was scheduled to perform four comedy shows at the Chicago Theater from Thursday to Sunday, according to the theater's website.
The comedy is now scheduled to take place at the Chicago Theater from December 26-29.
