A woman was shot and killed Thursday inside a South Shore home.
Chicago police and the Cook County coroner's office said Tatanisha Jackson, 43, was inside a residence around 4 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Cornell Street when a 17-year-old boy approached her and opened fire.
Officials said Jackson was shot four times in the head and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said a firearm was found at the scene.
No arrests were reported.
