With summer and days of outdoor shopping on the road, a modern menu from Yelp aims to direct shoppers looking to support local small companies in the right direction.
Fortunately for the residents of the Chicago region, five companies inside the city reduced the best 100 local companies in Yelp, with many other sites in the Middle West.
The list has defined some common trends between covered companies, highlighting an attractive atmosphere, personal contacts between employees and shoppers as well as good value at the time of economic uncertainty.
The companies that made the unrestricted menu were separated into five categories: home and cars services, food, retail stores, personal care and wellness, family and pets.
Two companies in Chicago were included in the first category in the list, with a highlight of 2 Guys Construction. Companies in this section have been praised for rest, clear communication and advanced reputation.
When it comes to personal care and wellness, another couple from Chicago received high honors, as IPOP Central and Salon Glow Chicago in Lincoln Square.
Chicago's final included in the list in the Family & Pets category, where the Tucker PUP PET resort was honored in The West Loop for its luxury services for Furry Friends.
Although no other companies in Illinois are not named at this year's list, there is still another location within the Chicago region that shoppers can check for: Albanz sweets, located in Maryleville, Indiana.
Families looking for a dose of nostalgia can find loose desserts with a large number of locally made, chocolate and nuts.
