Two men were driving on the Northwest Side when someone shot at them, causing them to crash Tuesday morning, Chicago police said.
CHICAGO (WLS) — A Chicago police recruit was shot while driving a car, causing the vehicle to crash on the Northwest Side Monday morning.
Police said two men were driving westbound on Gunnison Street near Rockwell Avenue at about 12:13 a.m. when several shots were fired at them.

Their car then collided with a parked car on Tallman Street, police said.
A 21-year-old man suffered a back wound and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. Police said the man was a recruit for the department.
A 24-year-old man inside the car was not injured.
No further details were immediately available about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No one is in custody and District 3 detectives are investigating.
