In time for the start of registration for the winter program session on December 9-10, the Chicago Park District announced that CVS Health will provide the Chicago Park District Financial Assistance Fund with a $40,000 grant. The fund provides economic support to children who are unable to pay for after-school programs. This generous gift will give more than 570 children the opportunity to participate in fun and educational activities while enrolled in our park programs across the city. This donation is critical to leveraging Park District resources and providing access to opportunities for our youth in communities citywide. CVS Health presented the Chicago Park District with a check for $40,000 Thursday in Tuley Park and engaged after-school program participants in a series of health activities focused on inspiring children to live healthy, active lives, and make nutritious choices, while learning about health care careers. During the event to support the Financial Assistance Fund program. Participants also received a sanitary kit equipped with a water bottle, jump rope, and brain game.
