Chicago (WLS) – Chicago police issued a warning on Saturday after a group of suspects was damaged and stolen from vehicles in more than ten sites on the northwestern side.

Chicago police said that the crimes occurred in the early morning hours on Saturday in the neighborhoods of Ohair, Orol Park, and Norwood Park East and West.

This crime was widely spread, and thieves targeted the Chicago police officer. ABC7 has noticed most of them trucks, some with law enforcement support tools, stormed. At least two car parks were targeted at the hotel, too.

“Pay $ 32 to park, then someone can storm your car and spend more money in repairing your window,” said Kristin Gate, who is visiting Chicago from Singinati, Ohio.

Broken glass fragments outside the SpringHill Suites Chicago O'Hare in the 8100 mass of West Higgins Road is the reason that Jette and her family take precautions to ensure that their journey from Cincinnati is also ended.

“Is it safe to be here with my car?” Jet said. “Read the mark, because they are not responsible for anything that is taken, or even your window. You will pay for it too.”

Jet said: “Well, I went out, I saw, perhaps, more than 10 cars with a bust of windows and glass on the ground,” Jet said. “So, the first thing I did was to check to see if my car was fine, and it was, so I just made sure that I got everything on my car, because I didn't want to be a victim of it.”

The accident, which occurred in the car park in Springhill Suites where dozens of vehicles were stormed, in which more than 20 trucks were stormed, overnight on Saturday morning.

According to the investigators, a group of four to five suspects jumped from a blue car before a window was destroyed, looted the car, and in some cases, it escapes from precious things.

ABC7 spoke to some victims off the camera, one of whom was a police officer in Chicago who was targeted.

The investigators returned hours later, in the hope of gathering more clues to arrest the perpetrators.

“We are all working on what we are getting, so I just want to say get a job,” Jet said. “You find something safe to do.”

CPD said that criminal damage and thefts to vehicles occurred in the following sites:

-7700 block from W. Highgins RD.
-8100 blocks from W. Highgins Street.
-8500 block from W. Highgins RD.
-5600 block from N. Cumberland ave.
