CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police said they are linking more violent robberies to the same group of people suspected in more than a dozen crimes.

Investigators said the group was behind at least 17 incidents dating back to October 19.

Surveillance images show the suspects, who police said, jumping out of cars carrying handguns and rifles and running toward the victims, demanding their property.

In many cases, the victim is flogged or pistol-whipped after handing over what she was in possession of.

Police say the suspects were between 18 and 25 years old, and were wearing dark clothing and ski masks in each robbery.
