Chicago (WLS) – A man was charged with the murder that led to the deadly shooting of Tyshawn Lee.

In 2015, the 9 -year -old Tyshawn Lee was shot, after his temptation in a southern alley.
Prosecutors said that two men attracted me in the alley near Duis Park shot the boy at a close distance.
DWRIGHT BOONE-TOTY and Corey Morgan were sentenced to 2019 with the death of the child.

Prosecutors claimed that Bon Dotti and Morgan targeted Tyshawn as part of a rising gang conflict. They believe that a gang associated with the boy's father was responsible for killing Morgan's brother a few weeks ago and his mother was injured, according to the prosecutors.
Nearly 10 years after the deadly shooting, a man was sentenced to the murder that killed the boy.
Christopher Smith, 33, acknowledged guilty in February 2025 for killing Triss Morgan.
CHAGRES included one charge of the plot to commit a murder and one charge of attempting to kill.
Smith was sentenced to approximately 30 years imprisonment on both charges. He will be given credit in 4,166 days that he already served.
The co -defendant, Khalil Yamin, is scheduled to try to try in August.
