A man was shot and killed Wednesday night in Englewood on the South Side.
At about 9:20 p.m., the 36-year-old man was arguing with two people in the 7000 block of South Ashland Avenue when one of them opened fire, Chicago police said.
Police said he was shot twice in the chest and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified his name as Benjamin Cruz.
District 1 detectives are investigating but no arrests have been made.
