A man was shot and killed in a drive-by attack Friday afternoon on Grand Boulevard on the South Side.
Chicago police said the 24-year-old was standing on the sidewalk shortly before 3 p.m. in the 200 block of East 43rd Street when someone in a white sedan opened fire before the driver fled.
The man, who was shot 12 times, was taken in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No arrests were reported.
