Firefighters who respond to a residential fire on Friday evening in North Lindel discovered the severed body of a 68 -year -old man, according to Chicago police, who said the fire had been deliberately seized.
The firefighting crew answers a call at around 5:15 pm on Friday from a residential fire in the 2300 South Kurchland Street.
His arms and right leg were cut, according to the police report, who said he was also injured in the neck and deep discounts in the left leg.
Inside the residence, investigators also found contractor bags, a similarly saw, a reduction cover and a mobile phone.
The man died of a gunshot wound in the neck and chest, according to the Cook Medical County Office.
The name of the victim was not released.
