Maxwell Taylor, University of Chicago
Maxwell Taylor is a fourth year student at the University of Chicago, a dual major in political science and race, diaspora, and blazing. He is currently working on a thesis he honored about the emergence of artificial intelligence in the criminal justice system and how this new technology faces social dilemmas such as racial bias. As a researcher for the famous political world, Cathy Cohen, Max worked with the Geneforward Survey and the Ochakago Policy Institute (IOP) as one of six students who were chosen to develop an original survey of adult youth, between the ages of 18 and 40, before the 2024 presidential elections to study political, social and cultural experiences. He returned to Chicago to present the results at the 2024 National Democratic Conference in front of media members from the New York Times, Chicago Sun Times and WBEZ Chicago. On the campus, Max has played many leadership roles as a political president of the African general for the African Student and Caribbean Association, the Leadership and Development Coordinator for the IOP program for the color program, and the editor of the political and economic section of the black newspaper led by the student, entitled Independence. After graduation, MAX aims to attend a program for political science after a doctorate to discuss what increases the appearance of artificial intelligence in the criminal justice system and how the principles of social sciences can be applied to alleviate its potential harmful effects.
